Day 01: Good morning Hanoi

Chao Ban! Welcome to Hanoi, we meet you at the airport and take you to your hotel for check-in.

The rest of day is your free day to discover Hanoi.

Day 02: Hanoi city tour – Night train to Sapa

Depart at 8:00 AM from your hotel by van. We begin our day by visiting Uncle Ho at the Ho Chi Minh Mausoleum and residential grounds learning about his great life. Next stop is the nearby Temple of Literature, the site of Vietnam´s first University. Here we also have a chance to see a traditional music performance. Lunch is served at a local restaurant for a taste of authentic Hanoi Pho (noodle soup).

In the afternoon, choose from one of the numerous museums or temples around Hanoi (Museum of Ethnology, Women´s Museum, History Museum or Quan Thanh Temple).

In the late afternoon, take a cyclo trip around Hoan Kiem Lake and Hanoi´s fascinating Old Quarter. This is your chance to be in the midst of typical Hanoi an life and Vietnamese culture. We finish our relaxing but informative day by attending a Water Puppet Show - a favorite experience for all visitors to Vietnam. We can help you to get back to your hotel if you wish, but often our guests would rather just spend the evening enjoying a drink with a view of the city. Tour finishes at about 4:30 PM.

You have free time to get dinner before 08:30pm when our tour guide come to pick you up to train station for the night train trip to Sapa. You are in a shared AC soft sleeper cabin. (Our tour guide shows you prearranged hotel near the train station which you have a shower and breakfast before going on Halong trip).

Day 03: Sapa arrival – Trek to Ta Phin village

The train arrives at about 6:30 AM. Look for the “Footprint Travel” sign when you exit the train station, as our guide is there to pick you up (about 1.5 hour drive to Sapa).

When you arrive in Sapa we make sure that you have a time for a short rest, hot shower and some breakfast before your inspiring trek. A short transfer and we’re off. Chances to meet and talk with locals working in the fields are plentiful. Picnic lunch en route then continue trekking to Ta Phin village – home of the Red Dao people. Your Dao host family warmly welcomes you to their traditional home where we share in an ethnic style dinner and stay the night.

Day 04: More in Ta Phin and back to Sapa

At the first gleam of daylight, you see and hear the sounds of morning village life. You can join your host family in some of their morning activities like feeding the animals, cleaning the houses, gardening or preparing breakfast. After breakfast, we take a short wander around the village or spend more time enjoying the view and company at the homestay. Then, you are supported by our car / van back to Sapa (30 minutes).

Back in Sapa, check in to your hotel, shower, rest and lunch on your own. At 2:30 PM, we take an easy walk to Cat Cat village, home of Black H’mong. Take part in a traditional musical performance. Back in Sapa for dinner and the evening on your own. Overnight in hotel in Sapa Town.

The music show in Cat Cat village is closed on Tuesday afternoon, an alternative is arranged.

Day 05: Sapa – Visit around – Night train back to Hanoi

Wake up in Sapa town, breakfast at the hotel then enjoy the morning activities in the town markets. Today we will visit around Sapa town such as: local market, the orchid gardens at Dragon Mountain. Have lunch at a local restaurant.

This afternoon we can do another trek to hill tribe village. Then at 5:30 PM transfer to Lao Cai train station for night train back Hanoi. You will be share soft sleeper cabins. Departure is at 20:15 stay overnight on the train.

Day 06: Hanoi – Ha Long, welcome on the boat

Safely back in Hanoi at 5:00 AM please find your way on foot back to a prearranged hotel near the train station. Shower, short rest and basic breakfast.

Departure for Ha Long Bay is around 8:00 AM in a shared van (about 4 hours) from your hotel. Arrive at the port around noon. Welcomed on board, you are taken to your cabin before the trip briefing. You enjoy a fresh and local seafood lunch while cruising to explore the magic Halong Bay. Stop for a swim and visit the mysterious cave. Relax at our secluded island-beach. Later you return back to the boat just in time to watch the beautiful sunset from the top deck before enjoying the bay’s freshest seafood dinner.

Day 07: Explore Bai Tu Long bay - Hanoi – flight to Hue

Early risers can enjoy the sunrise and the quiet breath-taking beauty of Bay’s landscape with towering limestone. You have time for Tai Chi Exercise before breakfast at around 8:00 AM. You will be transferred by tender to the Titov Island. About one hour is spent on the island, allowing time to climb to the peak for the panorama view of Halong Bay. After that is time for relax on the beach.

At 09:30am, enjoy your brunch on the board then check out at 11:00. Hit the road to get back Hanoi around 04:30pm

Then is free time to get your dinner before our driver picks up and transfers to Hanoi airport for flight to Hue. On arrival, pick up and transfer to your hotel in Hue for check in. Stay overnight in Hue

Day 08: Hue City tour – Visit the ancient citadel

At 08:00 am, our guide and driver pick you up at hotel in Hue city and bring you to make a trip on Perfume River for visiting Thien Mu pagoda, which is the most ancient one in Vietnam. Along the river on the boat, you will enjoy a tranquil atmosphere and beautiful scenes along two sides of banks’ river. Next, you will visit the Imperial City (Citadel) where Nguyen Dynasty ruled between 1802 and 1945 with numerous of attractive places to see like Noon Gate, Nine Dynastic Urns, Thai Hoa Palace, and Purple Forbidden City…Have lunch at the restaurant.

This afternoon, you continue visiting the complex of Nguyen Emperors’ mausoleums including Minh Mang tomb and Khai Dinh tomb. Each tomb brings unique of each King about his palace with his orient. The tomb of Khai Dinh is magnificent, Tomb of Minh Mang approaches the level of unity of the elements. Back your hotel.

Overnight in Hue

Day 09: Hue – Car to Hoi An – Walking tour

This morning you will leave Hue for Hoi An. On the way, stopover at Lang Co beach, Hai Van pass, the highest pass in Vietnam and get the spectacular view of windy road from the summit. On arrival Hoi An Ancient town, check in your hotel. Hoi An is a place for shopping and making tailor with reasonable price, especially on every 15th of lunar calendar you can see a magnificent town with colorful lights and lanterns. Free to have your own lunch.

In the afternoon, you will wander around old streets to visit this charming ancient town including the Japanese Covered Bridge, Chinese Assembly Halls, Phuoc Kien Pagoda, Sa Huynh Museum and the local market…to get knowledge about the cultural and historical values of Hoi An.

Dinner at your own account and relax at your hotel.

Day 10: My Son Hollyland tour – Flight to HCM City

Our guide and driver will pick you up at hotel in Hoi An for visiting My Son Holly Land – the ruins of Cham people and was an imperial city during Cham dynasty. Here you can have more chance to explore and understand of technique of Old Cham people in making red bricks to build Tower. In 1999, UNESCO labeled the Cham architecture in My Son as a World Cultural Heritage Site. Moreover, you have chance to enjoy traditional music performed by Cham girls in their colorful uniforms. Then we transfer to Hoi An town and to make boat trip for visitting Kim Bong Carpentry Village with more than 600 years old, this village is a famous brand about woodwork of Hoi An. The woodwork of Kim Bong village is skilful including beautiful wooden statue; decoration and daily tools and especially making boat for fishing…Then embark the boat on Thu Bon River back to Hoi An town. Have lunch at restaurant

Relax at your own leisure before we transfer you to airport for flight to Ho chi Minh City. When you arrive, our driver will transfer you to hotel in center.

Day 11: Ho Chi Minh city – Cu Chi tunnel tour

Get started at 8:30 AM from your hotel venturing out to the Cu Chi countryside. See what life was like for the guerrilla warriors who lived and fought underground during the war. Crawl through 50 m of the 200 km tunnel system below. This morning will also see a visit to a rice paper workshop.

In the afternoon see the real HCM City through the eyes of a local. Visit the bustling Cho Lon market and a hidden Chinese pagoda, the Notre Dame Cathedral, the historic Central Post Office, and City Hall. We drop you off at your hotel around 5:30 PM.

Day 12: HCM City – Mekong delta full day tour

Getting started at 8:30 AM from your hotel, then a drive about 70 km out of HCM City to see Mekong Delta life around My Tho. Drift down the busy branches of the Mekong and into its peaceful canals. Visit an island orchard, and experience daily life of the farmers here. Try exotic seasonal fruits unique to the region and explore the quiet island on foot. Take a local cruise, stopping to learn how to make coconut-candy. Visit a bee farm to try some local honey with rice wine or tea then head back to HCM City. Tour ends around 4:30 PM.

Day 13: HCM departure

Breakfast at hotel. Depending on your flight you may have some more time for shopping. Then we transfer you to the airport for your flight home. Goodbye, and hope to see you again soon!
